About Me
Hello everyone, my name is Oliwier Holowinski. I am a sophomore majoring in exercise science and minoring in psychology. I grew up in Chicago before moving to Glen Ellyn which is about a 25 minute commute to North Central. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my friends whether it be through playing soccer, video games, or just hanging out. During breaks I like to visit different states and countries. Specifically to places with beautiful landscapes and hiking paths. I have visited Mount Rushmore, The Smoky Mountains, and other places. Zakopane (picture up above) was probably my favorite place out of the ones I have visited. Waking up to mountain ranges in the picture was like something out of a movie.
I always really enjoyed watching films. My Dad and Mom always sit down in the living room and play a movie or two before going to sleep. This has helped me dive more into film recently and become more interested in what movies are coming out so that I could go and watch them. I mentioned in class that my favorite movie of all time is Indiana Jones Raider of The Lost Ark. I have watched all the movies in the series a couple of times but for me this one is the best. I really enjoyed the subtle humor and also the story and journey that happened as the movie progressed. It was also a Spielberg movie and I seem to like a lot of the movies that are directed by him. More recently I would like to mention seeing the Joker with Joaquin Phoenix as the Joker. This movie is one of my favorites that I have seen recently. What made me love this film was how Phoenix was able to portray the Joker as a broken person and how real his acting was. I also loved the camera work that was done during the movie as it made every scene feel like you were being sucked into the actual plot of the film.
