I overall really enjoyed the film. The story and the cinematography is what stood out to me the most. The story was simple on some levels but complex in others. An Asian American mom trying to better understand her family before it all crumbles apart right in front of her. The whole movie is her trying to finally break out of her many choices that she resented from birth and become a better person to everyone within her life. She at first realizes that everything she does do actually does not matter. However she then is able to come to the conclusion that we have to make the most out of the small joy we get in life in order to make sure that what we go through in life does matter. Their are so many other small little lessons and stories that are told within this movie that it would take me a day probably to write about how brilliant it all was. I do however want to also go over the cinematography within the film. There were so many awesome shots that transitioned so smoothly that actually made it kinda trippy at some points. But this is what made them so good because they were so well done with the camera. My favorite scene was probably when they started flicking through all the universes and it was so seamless at the same time. When you finish watching this film you can really see why it was able to win so many Oscars.

I also want to briefly mention how weird a majority of the movie was. It kind of makes sense when you are dealing with a huge film about the endless multiverse. There are bound to be universes where crazy alternate personas exist. However it was so creative how the Daniels were able to create these realities and also another thing how they were able to create the scenes with the triggers for those realties. Like for example chugging a whole bottle of pop in order to become a kung fu master or whatever it was. It was so out there but it made so much sense when I reflect back on it now.
